For table tennis club owners & organisers

One table tennis rating for all of Malaysia. It starts at your club.

Everyday players in Malaysia have no ranking yet. We're building one, tournament by tournament, and we're inviting the first 10 clubs to build it with us.

Tournament day

You know what it's like to run a tournament on WhatsApp and paper.

Today
  • Name lists copy-pasted around a WhatsApp group, and someone always gets missed.
  • Payment screenshots piling up in the chat.
  • Draws and knockout charts drawn on paper or in Excel.
  • Scores shouted from table to table, then added up again.
  • Players ask, "What's my level, really?" Nobody can answer.
With LekaPong
  • Players sign up themselves from one link. The list is always right.
  • You confirm payments with one tap.
  • Groups and knockouts are generated for you.
  • Scores go in from a phone. The bracket moves by itself.
  • Every match feeds the player's rating, and that rating follows them to any club.

How the rating works

One number that answers, "What's my level?"

We use Glicko-2, from the same family as chess ratings. Beating a stronger player moves you up more. Losing to a weaker one moves you down more.

🦈 Jerung below 1200 Just starting
🦅 Helang 1200 – 1599 Beginner & intermediate
🐯 Harimau 1600 – 1999 Advanced
🐉 Naga 2000 and above Pro

Starting point by category

New players start at 1100 (Pure Beginner), 1300 (Beginner/Novice) or 1500 (Open), depending on the category of their first event.

Still calibrating

A rating settles after about 5 to 6 matches. Until then the player is listed as "still calibrating".

You choose per event

Every event can be rated or unrated. Casual nights and practice can stay unrated.

Roadmap

From one club to an official rating for Malaysia.

Our goal is official recognition from the Table Tennis Association of Malaysia (TTAM). To get there we need data from many clubs, many states and many months of matches. Here's the plan.

  1. 1
    Sep – Oct 2026 Now

    The rating starts at LekaPong

Glicko-2 ratings run on every tournament at LekaPong. The Season 1 club league starts in November.

    Target: 300 players
  2. 2
    Oct – Dec 2026

    10 Founding Clubs

The first clubs in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Negeri Sembilan. We run each club's first event together with them.

    Target: 10 clubs
  3. 3
    Jan – Jun 2027

    An inter-club rating circuit

A rated open every month, hosted by a different club each time, so players from different clubs meet. Junior and school events come in.

    Target: 15 clubs · 800 players
  4. 4
    Jul – Dec 2027

    Other states & state associations

Open to clubs in other states. Offer the system to state associations for their closed championships and state rankings.

    Target: 3 states
  5. 5
    2028

    Present to TTAM

Take 12 months of data to TTAM: players and clubs, how well the rating predicts match results, the score-integrity process, and how player data is protected.

    Target: 2,000+ players · 25+ clubs

These dates and numbers are our targets, not promises. The rating is not yet recognised by TTAM or any governing body. We'll update this page as each phase is reached.

Our promise to clubs

Your players stay your club's.

LekaPong is a club too. We understand why you might hesitate. These are the rules we keep, and some of them are enforced by the system itself.

  • Your member list is yours alone Other clubs can't see your player list or your players' phone numbers. That's locked in the system, not just a policy.
  • We don't use your players' contacts to promote LekaPong The numbers you enter are used only for sign-in and your own events.
  • A player's identity belongs to their home club Only a player's home club can change their phone number, photo and personal details.
  • The same rating for everyone One formula for every club, LekaPong included. How it's calculated is published on the rankings page.
Getting started

Four steps, and we're with you at your first event.

  1. 1

    Register your club

Sign in with Google and fill in your club’s details, about 5 minutes. Rather talk first? WhatsApp us.

  2. 2

    We review and approve

Usually within 1–2 working days. Founding Clubs are verified straight away, so your results count towards ratings.

  3. 3

    First event together

We help set up the event and we're there on the day, from registration to champion.

  4. 4

    The rating begins

Every player gets a rating and their own page. From the next event, you run it yourself.

FAQ

What club owners usually ask

Do players need to download an app?

No. Everything works from a web link. Players sign in with a code sent to their WhatsApp.

What do I need on the day?

A phone is enough to enter scores. A TV or projector is optional, for the live board.

My players also play at other clubs. How does that work?

The rating belongs to the player, not the club. Matches at any club on the system count toward the same rating, and players are matched by phone number so there are no duplicate records.

What about children without a phone?

They're registered under a parent's or guardian's number and still get their own rating.

What does it cost after the founding offer?

The normal price is RM1 a month for each player who plays a rated match at your club that month. Unrated events and under-18 junior events aren't counted.

Can I collect entry fees myself?

Yes. Entry fees belong to your club. Players pay you directly, and you mark the payment in the system.

Can our club have its own system under our brand?

We can discuss it. The LekaPong platform is shared so player ratings connect across clubs, but if your club or association wants a separate system, get in touch.

Is this rating official?

Not yet. LekaPong runs it, and it isn't recognised by TTAM or any governing body. Our goal is to present the data to TTAM. See the roadmap above.

Can I stop?

Yes, any time. Your players keep their ratings, because the rating belongs to the player.

Let's build this rating together.

WhatsApp us your club's name. A person replies, not a bot.
